Phase-II of Lome Bypass Project in Togo Obtains Final Certificate
On May 11, the Phase-II of Lome Bypass Project in Togo undertaken by CRBC received the final certificate issued by the employer.
The Phase-II Lome Bypass Project in Togo, representing the largest single highway project under the China-Togo cooperation, has a total length of 20.697 kilometers with two-way four-lane roads. It was completed and opened to traffic in May 2019. Since the outbreak of the epidemic, the project department, while strictly preventing and controlling the epidemic, has sticked to the work position, carefully and efficiently completed the defect elimination work, and successfully passed the final inspection of the employer.
The Phase-II Lome Bypass Project is another “word-of-mouth” project of the Company since its entering and deeply exploring the Togolese market. After the Project’s completion and opening to traffic, the traffic pressure in the capital of Togo has been effectively alleviated, and the daily travel of the people has been more convenient. The Project has realized the straight-line connection between Lome Port and the Togo-Ghana border, improved the cargo transfer capacity of Lome Port and enhanced the competitiveness of Togo's entrepot trade, thus playing a vital role in promoting the local economic development.
